(Delaware, USA) today officially announced the release of google-earth-engine-ptvs, an open-source, enterprise-grade Layer-0 satellite oracle integration designed to transform how Real-World Assets (RWAs) are monitored, verified, and audited on-chain.

As tier-1 financial institutions accelerate the tokenization of real estate, infrastructure, and commodities, they face a systemic vulnerability known as the Physical Oracle Gap: traditional smart contracts are digitally isolated from physical reality. Under upcoming regulatory enforcements—including MiCA (Arts. 36/46) in the European Union and Basel III (SCO60) risk frameworks—tokenized collateral requires continuous, deterministic, and legally binding proof of physical and legal integrity.

Automated Spatial Telemetry Meets Cryptographic On-Chain Enforcement

The google-earth-engine-ptvs framework establishes an automated, deterministic pipeline bridging planetary-scale geospatial computing with decentralized liquidity:

    Spatial Telemetry & Anomaly Detection (GEE): Automated Python scripts interface directly with Google Earth Engine APIs, querying multispectral satellite data (Copernicus Sentinel-2 SR) over asset cadastral coordinates. The system continuously evaluates structural indices (NDBI/NDVI) to detect physical degradation, land subsidence, or environmental anomalies.
Deterministic Cryptographic Anchoring (QFER): Telemetry outputs are canonicalized into strict JSON data schemas, timestamped, and hashed using SHA-256. The resulting Qualified Forensic Evidence Record (QFER) is digitally signed via eIDAS 2.0 QES standards, creating an immutable audit trail.
Programmatic Circuit Breaker (RFC-003 ‘Hollow Token’): The QFER hash feeds directly into ERC-3643 smart contracts via the isPhysicallyAndLegallyBound() modifier. If satellite telemetry detects a critical physical anomaly, the protocol automatically triggers a Hollow Token state, freezing secondary market transfers to protect institutional investor capital.
